May Husby and Marit Espeland
We are visual communicators, with several years of experience in designing, branding and developing of whole concepts for a broad variety of fields like TV, video, film, theatre, print and web.
Our main goal is close collaboration with our clients to ensure a unique and solid product aimed towards the targeted audience. The process and techniques used are guided by the intention of the product. The main visual concept is usually already decided, before the real process begins to ensure a successful outcome.
In television production, we both have almost a decade of experience from TV 2. Apart from that, Marit has a long experience in photo and May in various forms of productions for web.
We formed our own company called MNM-productions, but in 2011 we decided to morph that company into Polkapixel. Polkapixel has excisted since 1997.

Marit Espeland
Marit has a master degree in visual communication from University of Central England. She has also studied history of art, psychology, Spanish and philosophy of esthetics at the university of Bergen. Marit worked at the graphic department at TV 2 for nine years. Her work consist in visual identity design for TV programs, concept development, creating title sequences, animations , illustrations and various graphic solutions. She's an image-maker and has worked much in the field of both photography and video production. She has developed picture material for set design on a great variety of theatre, dance and television productions. Marit has also had several photo exhibitions.
May Husby
May was educated at Bergen private art school in various art forms like painting, drawing, sculpting, performance and art history and from Bergen National Academy of the Arts, department of visual communication. Again study of classical art, but also towards print, photo and screen-based media. Her master degree was computer graphics for games. After her education, she became a webdesigner for two years at Electric Farm, specialising in Flash, and she also developed Polkapixel during that period. At TV 2 she worked for almost seven years with visual identity design and concept development for TV programs, specialising in 3D animation.
