GAMES

Always having been fascinated by videogames ever since the early days of Commodore 64 and pocket games like Donkey Kong, May Husby decided to start developing a few of her own for her graduation project at art academy. Choosing a few fairly known fairytales to rewrite, she made simple point and click adventure games using Director and its programming language called Lingo. After this she went on using Flash and actionscripting to create a few other games purely as a hobby.

PROJECT LIST

KOSMODRONES

Rainbow islands

This game, Rainbow Islands was originally produced by Taito and this is a Flash based copy of the game just made out of geeky nostalgia. (Just the first few levels are playable.)

Virtual house - point and click tour

This is an ongoing project. A slightly spooky 3d mansion. Pano2QTVR is used to link 360 degree panorama images together so you can explore every room of the mansion by clicking and dragging, going from room to room and explore like in a virtual world. This technique can also be developed to be used for example in a virtual museum or other virtual tours.

See more images here or go to the virtual house here.

GHOST TOWN

Ghost town is a point and click adventure game.

Master project at KHIB

May Husby's master assignment at Bergen National Academy of the Arts - visual communication, was video games. More specifically, adventure games based on old classics like Police Quest, King's quest or point and click games like Monkey Island. The theme was fairytales in a multimedia age, or rather fairytales retold differently.

Bluebeard

To play this game you need to download a zip containing the file.

Snowhite

(Because the game is too large to be uploaded and played online, this is just a video summoning up the game.)

Little Red Ridinghood
